Health Check

“This is not about fear. This is about power, responsibility, and legacy.”

Welcome to the Movement

We are losing too many of our brothers, fathers, and sons to preventable or manageable health conditions. That is the truth, and it is the reason this podcast exists.

I started The Black Men’s Health Check because I believe that knowledge is power — and that when we take our health seriously, we are not just investing in ourselves, we are investing in our families, our communities, and the next generation.

— Kevin Jellow, Host

Why Black Men Need Regular Physical Checkups

In this episode, we get to the foundation of long-term health: the routine physical checkup. Too many of us have not seen a doctor in years — not because we are healthy, but because of fear, mistrust, or the belief that we should just “push through.”

Overcoming Stigma

Why we avoid the clinic and how to change that mindset.

Be Someone’s Reason to Get Checked

The most powerful thing you can do this week does not require a gym membership or a diet plan. It requires a phone and thirty seconds of courage.

Text or call one brother today and ask:
“When was your last physical?”

Be their accountability partner. Ask them to be yours. That one conversation could save a life.
